Shearing is not just about speed. As an integral member of the Sheep-to-Shawl team the shearer is not only judged on the speed which which he or she completes the job but also on the quality of the work done. The number of second cuts and the condition of the animal are but two of the many things taken into consideration when judging the work of the shearer.
