January 2012.We are members of a competition sheep-to-shawl team, the Dream Weavers. In January we traveled to Harrisburg to the Pennsylvania Farm Show. This year's competition included seven teams from across the state. The theme of our shawl was the Native Pennsylvania Brook Trout. The eight harness twill pattern we designed had beautiful color and lots of texture including riffles and even bubbles. Our weft was spun from a fleece taken from one of our four year old Shetland ewes, Constance. Proceeds from the sale of our fifth place shawl were donated to the Bixler Family of Turbotville, Pennsylvania.
